122 words cut! There is one section that went into the revision as a three paragraphs short sequel...and came out as two sentences long sequel. I think it's more powerful.
I began this revision with the intention of selecting a sentence at a time, highlighting the verb, and analyzing the structure. It worked for few passages but I ended up checking the plots (still filling up some holes) and emotions. I did reader over each sentence by themselves. Oh, and I read the story backward.
That certainly helped with couple of sentences that weren't grammatically correct. What worries me, however, is that I know there are more lurking...and I haven't found them. I always have issues with articles and non-countable nouns, yet I didn't pick up any.
Perhaps I'll need to go back and look at those individually.
I'm looking forward to the read aloud session. Gotta find a room or a park where I can speak out loud without calling cops on me.
