I really Iike how flawed Baekhyun is yet he can not be blame as he just fits so well with Chanyeol's personality and they just love each other so so much the vast differences seems insignificant. You made the end very realistic as Baekhyun is the one who learns his mistake and seeks Chanyeol out and he wants to try because he simply needs Chanyeol's presence in his life.
