Fireworks, Beer, Pizza, a Movie, and One Hell of a Walk!

Jul 05, 2007 07:53

So I woke up today and wasn't particularly proud of my eating habits.  I started the day with a burger and fries at Culver's.  Then my Mother and I looked at some houses in Trenton.  Afterwards, I did some laundry and surfing the net until Denis came to get me for the Gibraltar fireworks.  They were extra good last night.  We had nice close seats ( Read more... )

Hi Jarrod,

Sounds like you had fun :^). Thought you might see Rachel and/or Sean at the fireworks since they were both at Gibraltar last night. I would think with the walk you took, you must have worn off the calories that you had! Walking through Chicago for four days allowed me to eat what ever I wanted while we were there. I would say we walked and/or stood a total of about 6 to 8 hours a day! Someone said I looked thinner at work, so I do believe it works! I did not get the picture of you route, though. Maybe you can re-send. Hope you get a good "days" sleep!

XXX,

Kraphy

Sounds like you had fun! I don't think you're crazy for walking at all....I'm proud of you! But I don't understand why you took such a convoluted route. Wouldn't it have been shorter to take a bit more of a direct route ( ... )

Yep...and after I did so, I called back to find out the rest of the directions. He asked where I was, and I told him that I had gotten off on Dix, and it was quite a ride. He asked if I managed to stay between the lines, LOL!
He also told me that Jennie used to live "on Dix & Champaign". ROFL, there is also a Breast street in the area. Those downriver people really are pervs!

When I told you I needed at least fifteen minutes to try to finish the movie with you it was 4:15 A.M. right? I woke up at 6:30 A.M. and got up and thought I had to get ready for work! Man wasn't I pleasantly surprised when I came to conciousness. :) Took the contacts out and off to my beddy bye till 10:00 A.M. Wasn't that a kick arse movie?! I am glad I just bought it for fifteen bucks vs renting it for nearly $5. I wasn't sure if I would wake up after working an eight hour shift, watching a two and half hour Transformers movie, eating Taco Bell with Dilster, driving to and enjoying a fireworks display, traveling to near Ohio to drop Dilster off, traveling to Pete's Garage for a couple cold fermented beverages in Monroe, purchasing the goods at Meijer, sharing new Great White tracks with you via the internet, and then what, about forty five minutes into the movie...."lights out, uh huh, flash flash flash" Sorry I wasn't better company for the movie, hopefully it wasn't freight train sound effects in the front room! lol. Weird Al ( ... )

I'm ready for some "Weird Al!"

Damn, that's a hell of a walk!! Hey, in that picture, there is a huge shadow on the lower third.
It that because it was Independence Day, and a giant spaceship was casting a major shadow??
If I walked that far, I think I'd actually die. My dogs would be more than barking, they'd be like poodles that ran the Iditarod.

So, did you think Transformers sucked as much as I did, or did you like it? I think I'll be sticking with "The Rock," when it comes to Michael Bay. I liked the female lead. She was attractive. I liked the CAmaro, it was cool. Optimus Prime was kind of neat looking, but over-all, the movie was thin on plt, thin on character development, and nothing but over-the-top craptactular CGI shit.

The little boom-box robot irritated the shit out of me.

My son loved Transformers, but his taste in movies does seem to suck infinitely more than his taste in music.
