I'm buying a new car. 8 months before I had originally planned to, but I have no choice, and I can afford it. My current car is worth MAYBE $1500 in trade-in if it were in good condition. We might be able to find some to test drive around here, if you don't settle this before you come.

For the record, we're being told to expect Gustav to hit next week. I'm going to try to get stocked up on basics you come to visit so we won't have to deal with price gouging and panic buying, although we'll still go once you're here so you can pick out other stuffs for yourself. If we can find the other stuffs, that is.

Beer gets bought up first, for the record, even before batteries.

I did a couple dealer searches around your area and the results were even less. I'm starting to think these options I want are direct from factory only. Guess I'll find out tomorrow when I talk to the dealerships.

ok, you're now the third person I know who is buying a car due to repair costs on their current one.

Thanks. I can't really complain about this Taurus. It's 10 years old after all and ran great up until last year when everything just suddenly started falling apart.
