Went to what was apparently the only William Gibson reading/book signing in Texas. My first one (I don't count the few that I accidentally wandered into). The mike failed almost immediately and there was, of course, nowhere to sit, so I quickly got a pretty fierce backache. Almost wished my belly was sticking out more so someone would take pity on

My girlfriend works in a bookstore in Santa Cruz and William Gibson came in to sign books. She asked him for his pen. So now my girlfriend has William Gibson's autographing pen in a plastic baggy.
