So while the great drabble rush of summer 07 is on, I figure why not throw my dice in the pot =D ya? I have no clue what I'm talking about.
Title: Accidentally on Purpose
Rating: PG
Summary: It really did grow legs and walk away, but he didn't need to know that.
“Where did it go?!” Maru had unpacked, repacked then unpacked and spread across the floor the contents of his backpack, wallet and pockets. Clearly it wasn’t there. Where else would be put it? It was there to swipe when got on the train that morning, and it clearly hadn’t grown legs and walked away- unless it was a mutant trainpass. Not likely, but fun to imagine. “Shit.” Maru cursed again holding his bag upside-down and shaking it so all the buckles click-clanked.
“What are you looking for?” Jin peered his head around the door and blinked at all Maru’s stuff lying on the floor. His water bottle had rolled under the small chaise, his ipod lay on the floor cold and dark; signature white wire tangled, Maru’s mobile beside it. A sweater, a box of chocolates, a small collection of pins and various receipts, and news paper from a week ago.
“My trainpass, I lost it.” Maru looked up with a scowl. “It grew legs and walked away!”
“I can give you a lift home if you want. Maybe you left it there?” Jin smiled, and Maru’s face visibly drained of colour.
“T-t-that’s okay!” He bit his bottom lip. “I had it this morning, I must have dropped it on the train. Besides Koki lives closer, he could give me a ride.”
“Koki’s gone.”
“Ueda?”
“Left.”
“Kame?”
“Rides the train too.”
“Junno?” Maru was looking quite desperate.
“Left too.” Jin shook his head and pouted, “Am I that repulsive?” Maru softened almost instantly to his childish tone.
“No no, you’re fine.” Making soothing hand motions
“Then you’ll let me give you a lift home?” He looked so hopeful there was no way Maru could deny him anything.
“Okay.” Jin smiled at him and pranced into the room to help Maru gather all his stuff and shove it back in his backpack.

He was going to die, they were going to get in a crash and he would break both his legs, then Johnny would assassinate him instead of waiting for him to recover! The wind screamed by, fluttering his pant legs around his ankles with enough force to make him think that it was going to suck him right off. Maru pressed himself as close to Jin’s back as he could without t crawling right under his skin.
He was warm, really warm, and he broad shoulders felt like a shield where he could hide. Aside from thinking that this was certain death it was kind of comfy. The parts he hated the most were the traffic lights where Jin would stop and every moment Maru swore that the bike was going to tip and spill him across the pavement. By the time they finally got to his apartment, Maru’s arms were sore from clutching Jin so tightly.
He pulled off the helmet and Jin helped him stand while his legs shook and wobbled.
“I don’t see how you survive that thing.” Maru complained, Jin only tossed him that roguish grin that made girls across Japan swoon. “It’s a death trap.”
“It’s fun.” Maru huffed and rolled his eyes.
“Thanks for the ride home.” Maru smiled fondly at him, despite the hair-raising trip he was home, in one piece too.
“No problem cutie.” Jin blew him an air kiss before fastening his own helmet and speeding off.
Later Maru would find his train pass in his bag and wonder how it got there. Having not seen Jin slip it back into his bag when he helped, from where it had accidentally ended up in his pocket earlier that day.
