Type O Negative, Astoria, 21st June'07

This was supposed to be a reprise for an occasion in 1996: Deej and I had only been seeing each other a few months and we went to see Type O Negative at the Astoria on their "October Rust" tour. The gig was fantastic, but somewhat marred by Deej getting booted in the face by a pissed crowd surfer who couldn't control his limbs. So, fast-forward ( Read more... )

I don't feel too bad about missing it now.
Plus i am a little dissapointed at PL's new album too.

I must admit that I agree with you... Pete did look like he was struggling through. According to Sherridan, he was pretty ill - so hats off to him for trying.

Personally I think PL blew them off the stage. There were far more recognisable numbers and they seemed to be connecting with the audience a bit more.

In other news: so you *were* there! I tried looking but by the time we got there it was too busy to move around properly - we ended up somewhat left-of-centre in the crowd and stayed there

I didn't know you were there!

I thought the song where the TON keyboardist leapt into vocals in front of the crowd was as fantastic as it was unexpected!

The Paradise Lost song of which you speak is Just Say Words off the One Second album...

Tsk - lack of Cam-posse organisation again! ;-)

Yup, that song was fun - but it stood out from the rest of the gig somewhat, which is not so good (i.e. I wish the *rest* had been more fun too).
