Oh that was fun - if a little sad towards the end...

And, as usual, I'm going to go all beta on your prose:

They had crept into ever crevice of her mind

every not ever

The went down in a tangle of limbs reminiscent of an cliched scene from an nineties romcom

They not The; a not an (both times!)

She was a short and curvy, and wrapped up in in tweed and pearls.

Either take out the "a" or put something after "curvy"; you've got "in" twice

“I don’t suppose you could direct me to the exit?”

You don't need the speech marks before 'I'

singapore slings

Should have Cap S on both those because it's a name (esp the first!)

“Lets go!”

Let's not Lets since it's an abbreviated form of "Let us"

“Let me give you a refresher course,” suggested.

she before suggested

but it more than enough to decipher the Gallifreyan symbols.

was before more

she wasn't surprisedy

surprised

Unsurprising, it didn’t break

Unsurprisingly

Thank you for the corrections! I'm useless at spotting them :-)

As for the ending, yes, I went all sad there towards the finish. I've always found River's life kind of tragic and I couldn't help but reflect that in the story - but I did put a dash of hope in at the end. In Who, there should always be hope...

I loved that! Both woman lost thanks to the Doctor's ingrained habit of running away.

I'm sorry I didn't get to it sooner, but I'm So glad I got to it now
