Number one's the same for me too. Well, I wasn't lost, but I couldn't find it. Prolly doesn't count now I think about it.

Yeah, basically I couldn't find it. But I always seem to get lost driving somewhere. In truth I got lost going home.

1. When did you last get lost?
Two years ago in a forest up on a montain. It was getting dark, and although I thought I knew my way, I lost direction. I have to admit that just for a little moment I was near hysterics... Especially as my dog took the lead and disappeared where I was sure there was an abyss. But of course no animal is that dumb to jump into an abyss... *hugs my dog*

2. Have you ever been flying?
On a plane, yes. On too much alcohol, yes. *g*

3. Who do you always listen to?
Hubby.
It's vital, because I tend to be naive, and I appreciate his healthy opinion.

4. When does the day feel long?
When I have to listen in meetings to monologues held by people who are in love with their own voices

5. Friday fill-in:
Friday's my fav day of the week.

Oh yeah! I forgot. I got lost in the woods. I took my kids to "the park with sand." Then I thought it would be a good idea to just check out the trail. I thought it would just go in a big circle but it didn't. It split into two paths and I could not remember my way back and my daughter kept saying the whole time, "We're lost." I kept telling her no we're not but thinking 'oh shit, we're lost.' An hour later we found our way back. That was scary especially when you are looking at the sun slowly going down. They had fun. Next time I should bring a dog.

Hahaha, the dog won't help you if you're walking the trail for the first time. On the contrary, he will look at you expectantly and if you display your insecurity (and remember, dogs can smell it, *g*) he is disgusted... The only chance you will have then is try to find the way back - and this is awkward if you already walked for two hours... whahaha.

But, honestly, it's creepy to get lost. Usually I've got no problems with directions. But, like you said, with the sun going down in unknown territory, it can turn out difficult. Especially with a kid around... Oh my! But isn't it amazing? When there's someone nervous around, one can be one hell of an actor and pretend quite convincingly to have everything under control...

Yeah, I faked it but I think she smelled my fear. My kids are like puppies. They even sleep in a pile.

Since having kids though, I have faked bravery and calmness many a time.
