Jack the Ripper was the nickname given to the first serial killer to gain notoriety. Surprisingly little is known about Jack the Ripper. His killing spree took place in 1888, and he was never caught. Probably. But there are still places in the world where it is just as easy as it was in Whitechapel back then. Also, if Hollywood is to be believed, there are way more serial killers today than ever before. So it's probably not that hard.
