How I stop a cat fight.

Okay, I've seen the one where two kittens are play fighting and then a sibling starts tossing a hairball and they both stop to look at it. I've just found that a decent way to get my cats to stop fighting (growling and hissing) is to shake a plastic container full of seed beads at them. The bead container is low and not easily knocked over. Eowyn's nickname isn't "Grace" for nothing. She knocks over coke cans, heavy double lined plastic glasses, books, etc. If its small and light she'll knock over to watch it fall. If its heavy she'll ignore it and wind up sliding into it during one of her rushing, sliding leaps onto whatever flat surface is higher than the floor. Thank goodness Trjegul doesn't jump without looking the way she does. As much as he weighs I wouldn't own anything without a chip or break in it.

I find squirt bottles also work.

I went through a period of trying squirt bottles and gave up. Of course, the fact that Trjegul practically gets in the shower with me might have something to do with that. :)
