Well, the glasses are probably less than they would have been without insurance, I've just never bought them that way before. They ran about $200 without lineless bifocals - which may have been a mistake as I'm not adjusting well to regular bifocals. My glasses used to cost $400 via insurance with lineless bifocals, anti-glare, anti-scratch, uv protection and the auto shade option (goes sunglass colored automatically). But I talked to the glasses guy and he said I could get plain distance glasses for around $60 if I brought my own frames, and I have several pairs of extra frames I've held on to. I'll probably work on that eventually.
On the whole, I can see better than I could pre-cataract surgery, but worse than I could 4 years ago. I suspect it will take several months to completely adjust.
