Been a little out of it lately...

I've been wondering about how you're doing with your altered eyesight. I take it your new glasses are nowhere near as expensive and thick as the old ones?

Hi! Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. I kinda crashed after putting lights up on my screened in porch. I can't do much at a time so it took me 3 days to put them up. Monday my body crashed and I had to load up on pain medication.

Well, the glasses are probably less than they would have been without insurance, I've just never bought them that way before. They ran about $200 without lineless bifocals - which may have been a mistake as I'm not adjusting well to regular bifocals. My glasses used to cost $400 via insurance with lineless bifocals, anti-glare, anti-scratch, uv protection and the auto shade option (goes sunglass colored automatically). But I talked to the glasses guy and he said I could get plain distance glasses for around $60 if I brought my own frames, and I have several pairs of extra frames I've held on to. I'll probably work on that eventually.

On the whole, I can see better than I could pre-cataract surgery, but worse than I could 4 years ago. I suspect it will take several months to completely adjust.
