    Reunited At The Sideline

sequel to Rivals At The Sideline

Chapter 1

Ten years later…

Xien succeeded his family business. His one family restaurant expanded to more branches in different areas of the country. Rascor had been a national basketball player. He won some swards and brought his team to victories but that job only lasted three years because an accident happened. He was a bit sad about the incident but he wasn’t completely devastated since he gets to spend more time with Xien and eat whatever he wants. He became a part-time waiter at Xien’s main branch restaurant so he could see Xien during work and coach to electuary kids in different sports.

Castor became king at Sengaia. He’s been living there with Skyler and their child. Yes, some men at Sengaia can bear a child and Castor is one of them. He was able to bear twins; a girl and a boy. Skyler became the prime minister of the country but he proved himself to be worthy of that high position by starting in a low-rank position and slowly working his way to the top. Pollux didn’t want to have to do anything with the royal family so he hid his identity and worked as a seaman but he still have contact with Castor and some of his friends.

Chrono is still in the show business industry. Actor, singer, host, song writer and even being a producer to some movies. He knows that fame wouldn’t last forever but he didn’t expect to really last long. Anyhow, he is prepared anytime for his retirement as he also got involved with business and opened a flower shop, which also expanded to different branches. He had no idea that Kisho is currently working as a florist in one of his flower shops.

Because of Chrono’s hectic schedule, he forgot to take care of his health. He became an insomniac and suffers from anorexia. His manager forced him to take a vacation before the condition gets any worse.

“One month.”

“One week.”

“Three weeks.”

“Two weeks.”

“Two weeks and five days. No more arguments.” The manager made the final decision.

And so Chrono’s vacation started. It’s just the first day and yet he’s already bored to death. “Ugh!!! Someone entertain me!!!” As if his prayer was answered, he received a text message from his business partner, Darwin.

Darwin: Now that you’re free. Perhaps you could visit one of your flower shops? I suggest the one which is a few blocks away from your house. I’m sure you can’t forget the location of the first shop you’ve opened.

Chrono: Thanks for the suggestion. I’ll do that out of boredom. Why do I have the feeling that you’re planning something?

Darwin: Why don’t you find it out for yourself?

Chrono didn’t bother to reply as he took a cap with him and simply walked out of the house. He has a nice car and a really cool motorcycle but for today, he decided to just walk. He wasn’t in a hurry and he could kill some time off by walking. Soon, he reached his destination. The bell jingled when the door was opened.

“Good Morning! Welcome to Spring Bloom Flower Shop. Is there anything that I could do to help?” The florist greeted Chrono in a friendly manner.

“Kisho?” Chrono looked at the florist in disbelief. “You work here?”

Kisho blinked. He lost his manners when he took of Chrono’s cap. “Ah, so it’s the owner. Long time no see, Chrono. I‘ve been working here for three years already.” But he knew he wasn’t risking anything since there were no other customers in the shop so nobody could bother Chrono for an autograph or photograph.

“Wow…why didn’t you tell me?”

“You didn’t ask.” Kisho shrugged and gave the cap back to the owner. “You don’t look good. Shouldn‘t you be resting?” The florist stated as he observed the eye bags beneath Chrono’s eyes, paleness of skin and thin body.

“Technically, it’s my first day of vacation and I’m bored so I decided to stop by. Rest doesn’t seem to be in my vocabulary for the last few years so it’s kinda weird to be not doing any work.” Chrono admitted as he placed the cap back on his head.

“I suggest you go to the spa then. It’s very relaxing and perhaps you could get a massage after that too. Maybe you’ll sleep through it and get over being an insomniac.” The bell jingled again, signaling a customer entering the shop. “Excuse me. I have to attend to other customers.”

Chrono looked around the shop and the flowers. Then he settled on a chair and observed the interaction between Kisho and the customers. He observed how much Kisho’s hair has grown from semi-bald to shoulder length in a nice wavy form. When the customers left, he instantly moved to stand right next to Kisho and ran his through the wavy hair. “Ah, so this is how your hair feels when it’s long. I can’t exactly feel much when it was semi-bald.”

“Idiot.” Kisho’s tan skin still allowed him to blush slightly. He moved away from Chrono. “Anyway, shouldn’t you get going already?”

“That’s no way to treat your boss; not to mention a high school friend. We haven’t seen each other in a long time and you want me to leave already? How harsh…” Chrono acted as if he was heart-broken. He went back to sit on the chair, which he sat on earlier. “Besides, we have a lot of catching up to do. Don‘t you tend to get lonely around here?”

The first flower shop that Chrono opened was just a few blocks away from his home so he could easily check it from time to time, which he used to do so when the shop was newly opened. Also, the shop is just a small one because Chrono didn’t want to spend too much just in case it won’t turn out to be successful. As for this shop, it only needed one florist for the morning shift since there aren’t much customers during that time except on occasions like Valentines or Christmas. “Just bored sometimes but not lonely.” Kisho replied.

“Not lonely? Am I suppose to think that you actually have a ghost for a company? I think I’m getting goose bumps.” Chrono acted as if he was scared and getting cold.

“Don’t be silly. I’ve always been a loner anyway. I mean sure I have lotsa friends including you but I’m not close with anyone and everyone knows that.” Kisho shrugged as he let his elbows lean on the counter.

“Well, I think I’ll be hanging out here for the rest of my vacation so get yourself ready for some company during your shift and perhaps we can do something together afterwards?” Chrono suggested. “And if it gets boring, at least I am with someone else to be bored with.”

“Oh so you mean to say that I’m boring?” Kisho raised an eyebrow. “We used to hang-out before. Now, tell me what part of it was boring?”

“That was such a long time ago. I don’t think I remembered if we actually hang-out.” Chrono smirked. Of course, he remembered. It was just a joke.

Kisho caught on the joke. “Then I’ll let you remember.” He leaned away from the counter and walked towards Chrono. He straddle on his boss’ lap and took off the cap again, which fell and forgotten on the floor, when they started to make-out and feel each other up. Back when they used to hang-out, they also became lovers. It was simply lust and hormones. No feelings involved.

“I miss this.” Chrono whispered as he broke the kiss. He felt himself smirking as Kisho moaned when Chrono’s fingers rubbed against the florist’s nipples. By now, they could feel each other’s hard-on. “We’re in the flower shop. The door is unlock. Anyone could step in. Wanna continue?” He panted in between the sentences. “I guess that means no.” He almost pouted when Kisho moved away from him.

“Idiot. You should be the one asking yourself that question. I have nothing to lose but you’re someone famous and could lose reputation if someone would witness us doing it in the flower shop.” Kisho licked his swollen bottom lip. “Damn, that felt good. Have you gained more experience by sleeping with celebrities?”

“I shared a few kisses and make-out sessions but no, I don’t sleep with them because I don’t exactly trust celebrities. A night of passion could turn into blackmail afterwards. In a way, I became like you. Lotsa friends but no one close. At least, that’s how I am in show business.” Chrono pick up his cap from the floor and placed it back on his head as he started fixing himself.

Kisho did the same as he also asked. “Does that mean you didn’t sleep with anyone else after me?” Because Kisho knows that Chrono didn’t proceed to college as he immediately started to get serious with his career at show business.

Chrono paused. He just realized that now. “Yeah. You?”

“Same.” Kisho replied. Then the florist for the next shift arrived. Kisho had a few exchange of words with the other florist before he left the shop and drag Chrono with him. “It’s about time for lunch. Your treat since you’re the richer one between the two of us.”

“I’m not hungry though, At least, not for food. I’m hungry for something else.” Chrono’s eyes wondered on Kisho’s body.

Kisho blushed again. “I am not having sex with you until you get some fats or those amazing abs again. I felt you earlier and you’ve gotten really skinny. How can you have energy for sex if you don’t even have the energy to eat? Come on.” He dragged Chrono to the neared fast-food.

By the end of the day, Chrono sent a text message to his business partner, Darwin.

Chrono: I knew you were planning something. I met Kisho and had a wonderful time with him. Thanks!!!

Darwin: You’re welcome.
