Reunited At the Sideline
Chapter 5
It was around 4am when the last visitors left Kisho’s house.
The only ones left is Chrono and Kisho. The place was such a mess and they were just starting to clean it in silence. They didn’t really get to talk or hang-out during the party as Kisho was busy moving from one table to another while Chrono decided to catch up with his business partner and three rivals and the prince. The prince’s twin, Pollux, is absent due to a personal reason that Castor decided not to share but other than that, he reassured them that Pollux is just fine, which is a lie but that’s another story to tell. (Another story for Jishu to write)
“If I knew that I’m going to be cleaning this mess, I shouldn’t have come. I should have stayed mad at you and went back to sleep. I think you just made my insomnia worse again.” Of course, all of this was just a joke and seeing as they were no visitors left, he already took off his jacket.
“Can you give me one more gift?” Kisho asked as he scooted closer to Chrono on the couch as they are now resting from cleaning. They managed to clean the living room but they still have the kitchen, garden and backyard to clean.
“I’m afraid the stores are still closed.” Chrono replied dryly. Then he found Kisho straddling on his lap.
“Kiss me?” A kiss on the cheek. “On the lips.” And on the lips. “With tongue.”
“How specific of you.” Chrono commented before diving his tongue inside Kisho’s mouth.
Kisho instantly began sucking on the invader before releasing and letting it explore in his mouth. “I miss this.” Kisho said when the broke the kiss and before latching on Chrono’s bottom lip. “But I miss you more.” He released the swollen lip and simply cuddled Chrono. He placed his head comfortable on the Chrono’s chest and under the chin. “Thanks for everything. It’s the best birthday.”
“Good thing it‘s Sunday and no work so you could get a lot of rest.” Chrono said as he traced circles on Kisho’s back.
“Yeah…“ Kisho yawned. “Let’s go to bed.”

They woke up around lunchtime. Kisho was happy to be waking up in Chrono’s arms again. As a result of three days without sex, they ended up having sex the moment they woke up on the bed, in the shower and heck, also at the kitchen. They didn’t really get to eat lunch until it was 3pm. Kisho hadn’t felt this much exhaustion for a long time and as for Chrono, he felt it was equally as tiring as exercising but all’s good and fun. After having lunch, they started cleaning the house again, seeing as they were quite busy with each other earlier than to do anything with the mess. In fact, they even added the mess if you know what that means ^_^.
“Are you going to start hanging-out again at the flower shop?” Kisho asked while they were cleaning the backyard. “It’s kinda lonely without you there.”
“Oh, really? Isn’t the hot guy visiting you?” Chrono knew that he shouldn’t mention that guy because every time he did, they would have an argument but he couldn’t help himself from mentioning since he was really curious how that guy is related to Kisho.
“No and his name is Faolan so stop referring to him as ‘hot guy’. He’s not the only hot guy in the world, ya know and you’re pretty much becoming hot again now that you’ve gained back your health and doing your exercises.” Kisho stated as he poked the muscles on Chrono’s upper arm.
“He probably still likes you.” Chrono said as he moved away from Kisho’s poking finger. “He wouldn’t kiss you if he didn’t like you.”
Kisho snorted. “He only likes my body. Of course, I was an ignorant young teen back then and thought he does those things because he loves me. The relationship was purely physical and what I felt was one-sided love.”
“Isn’t that how our relationship is right now? So I guess that’s the reason you made the no-strings-attach rule.” Chrono picked up the last piece of trash, which is a soda can, and placed it in the garbage bag.
“Our relationship is different. Besides from being lovers, we’re also friends and we care for each other. Faolan just used me to show off to his friends and get some pleasure. He didn‘t even know when my birthday was and when I told him, he merely greeted me and we had more sex.” Kisho rolled his eyes. He wasn’t really fond of that memory. Suddenly, Chrono was standing close to him.
“Sorry for getting angry without even knowing anything.” Chrono looked guilty. “But I was frustrated because you’ve been keeping secrets to yourself and refuse to open up to me. Not to mention, he kissed you and I became jealous because I don’t want you to start hanging out with anyone yet.”
Kisho raised an eyebrow. He didn’t really believe the last part of what Chrono said. “I thought you said it’s about time that I would start hanging out with somebody else because you’re going back to work soon.”
“I said that to hid my jealousy and so I could keep myself from getting angry but you still made me angry anyway because you said I acted as if I don’t care. I just didn’t want you to think that I was acting like some sort of jealous boyfriend. Besides, it‘s unreasonable to feel those things on the first place when our relationship has no strings attach.” Chrono explained and realized that he shouldn’t have said those things.
“But the thing is you felt jealous and acted like a jealous boyfriend anyway.” Kisho peered closely at Chrono. “Are you having feelings for me? You do know that I will stop hanging out with you if you are getting attached to me. It’s the reason why I stopped hanging out with the people before you though they were all present at my birthday yesterday.”
// Shoot, I’m screwed. // Chrono didn’t want to answer the question so he changed the topic. “At last! We’re finally done with the backyard. Just the garden left to clean out.” He said as he dragged the garbage bag to the pile of garbage bags at the corner. Luckily, Kisho didn’t bother to continue or go back to their topic earlier.

Monday on the 4th week of Chrono’s vacation. Everything would have went as usual if it weren’t for two customers that entered the flower shop. Kisho was unfortunately not fast enough to hide or escape somewhere so he just went for his usual friendly greeting. “Good morning! Welcome to Spring Bloom Flower Shop. Is there anything that I can do to help?” He hoped he didn’t sound too nervous.
“Kisho?” Hadriel looked at Kisho in surprise. “You’re the florist here and Faolan’s ex-boyfriend?” Chrono observed the guy named Hadriel and wondered what his relationship with Kisho is. He’s guessing that Hadriel is either Kisho’s ex-boyfriend or just one of the people that he used to hang out with.
“Yeah.” Kisho admitted; sweating off his nervousness.
“You two know each other?” Faolan asked as he looked back and forth between Hadriel and Kisho.
“Actually, he’s my ex-boyfriend too.” Hadriel smirked. “I believe I got him before you. You told me that your relationship started during high school but I started grade school with him.” Then he turned to look at Kisho. “Isn’t it a coincidence that your ex-boyfriends are hanging out with each other; close friends and all?”
“Hey, nice to see you again.” Faolan said in a friendly manner towards Chrono as he was able to recognize Chrono, not as a famous talent but as a guy who frequently hangs out at the flower shop. “You seem to be working hard with those muscles.” He noticed how Chrono became muscular in just a few days.
“So what kind of flowers would you like to buy this time?” Kisho asked. He refuse to indulge to other conversations besides business.
“Nothing really. Faolan brought me here so I could see the guy he’s been talking about and it just turns out to be you. It’s really nice to see you again.” Hadriel said sincerely and smiled genuinely. “We have lotsa catching up to do. What about having lunch together? Your shift ends before lunch right?”
“You’re asking him a date already? Oi, I told you that I want to get back together with him. Don’t ruin my plans.” Faolan was starting to think that perhaps it wasn’t such a good idea to let them meet with each other as it turns out that they knew each other as well and also had a relationship before.
“It’s just a friendly date, Faolan. No need to get worked up. You can tag along, ya know.” Hadriel had an interesting spark in his eyes. “But the next time I ask him for a date, you definitely won’t be tagging along.”
“I haven’t even agreed to go on the date yet.” Kisho finally spoke up.
“Who said you have to agree?” Hadriel had a sweet tone and an innocent face but there was definitely something lying beneath it all. “You know that I don’t take no for an answer.” He leaned dangerously close to Kisho.
“Oi, not so close!!!” Faolan pulled back Hadriel.
Chrono can’t help but reminisce the three rivals. Hadriel reminded him of Xien as Faolan is acting like Rascor. // This must be the new generation of the three rivals. // Chrono laughed mentally at the thought. // Nah, it’ll just be the two of them because they both were able to experience to be loved by Kisho whereas I am just in a no-strings-attach relationship with him. Besides, anytime now, someone might remind me of Skyler would show up and steal Kisho away.//
“Fine. Since it’s going to be a friendly date, I want to tag him along.” Kisho said as he pointed his thumb towards Chrono. “This is…Hirono. Hirono…that’s Faolan, 2nd ex, and Hadriel, 1st ex. “
“Aren’t you going to say Hirono, 3rd ex?” Faolan joked.
“Haha, funny.” Chrono aka Hirono deadpanned. “We’re just friends.” He wouldn’t tell them about the lovers part as he doesn’t want to be a part of the rivalry when it’s obvious as he convinced himself a lot of times that Kisho won’t choose him.
