Have you ever noticed that when we smile at strangers as we pass them on the street or whatever, the smile is generally this closed mouth, smile-with-your-lips, don't show any teeth kind of smile?  I wonder if this is something carried over from our distant ancestors.  Was showing your teeth to a stranger a sign of aggression?  That's how dogs show ( Read more... )

I do that smile most days, but there are those I get this weird 'screw you all' attitude (not angry.. but more of a 'I don't care what you think or if you are being grumpy' way and give big open smiles to people... that also tends to happen more often in rainy days when I find myself smiling and laughing sort of to spite the rain and all the grumpy people in it..

ooor, just another sign of my insanity.
