After much annoyance because system admin people are stupid (!), I've got a nice new toy sitting on my desk at work. I still like Matzah Ball much more, but it's very disconcerting to go from the nice big screen of my desktop to this little 12 inch screen. Here's the "funny" story ( Read more... )

Red Hat Linux is easy once you get used to it. You can, of course, use Mozilla (the browser that comes with Linux) to update your journal :-P If you have the same version of Red Hat as I do, there should be a bar on the bottom and the icon that looks like a dinosaur is the web browser... it took me a while, but I'm so used to it now that I almost prefer Linux over Windows (never used Mac OSs so wouldn't know)... Mozilla is a bit of a pain because, like Netscape, it doesn't always work with all webpages, since more web pages are written for IE. Good luck figuring things out though :) Feel free to ask me questions if you want...
