But, for the initial parts of the trek, till late afternoon we were constantly on the lookout for any sort of noise or activity and were ready to run backwards at a moment's notice.
We also discussed various theories related to the matter such as:
"Elephants cannot run downhill very fast" (Hence we were happy on the steep inclines)
"Elephants cannot turn so easily, so run zig-zag" and so on!
After that, we were least bothered about the elephants. We were extremely thirsty and had decided that if any elephant turns up we'll ask it the location of the nearest water source!
