busch stadium... my musings on baseball and the place that shaped my love for the game

The Cardinals as an organization will live to see another season, and while I am sad that they didn't do it this year, there's always the next. We just don't give up and thats part of why I love this team and living in this baseball town so much. omg im like crying. that was such a nice ode to busch. im not even a big baseball person, but i do remember all the little things that have happened there. like going to the games with people in jr high when we got those free tickets, and how my dad used to bring me and my sister there with his friend steve because steve is like the biggest baseball man ever and he ALWAYS had tickets, and that was the first place i ever had a sip of beer (when i was like 10, and i picked up my dads cup cause i was thirsty, and was like EWWWWWWWWWW!). good times there. i do also think its just sad in general, cause its such a staple of downtown. i cant even imagine what downtown is going to look like without the stadium...
