My Brazil trip might be falling through the cracks. I really want to spend NYE in Rio de Janeiro at Copacabana Beach but lodging is filling up very fast. And the lodging that I can find is extremely expensive (2-3X more than usual) or outside of Rio. If I can't find anything in the next few weeks I was thinking of spending NYE in NYC at Times

If the Rio trip can still happen, I'd say do Rio. NYC is a bit overrated, though I suppose it's one of those "once in your life" sort of things. Just know that everything is super expensive and crowded in Manhattan that day...

I ahear everything is expensive. Good thing about NYC is I have friends that live out there so I can easily stay with them. Brazil is definitely going to happen now.
