Idol communities created for the fans? Yeah right...
Okay.. just a warning... this is just a rant about some of the idol-related communities I'm part of. You don't have to read it if you don't want to. It's not a typical "jixji" post.
It just seriously bugs me that idol-related communities at LJ aren't for the fans these days, but they promote it as so. I've NEVER seen a more dictated site than those on LJ. Yeah.. I know communities run better if there are rules set, but no one told them to go and become the re-incarnated Hitler! There's a difference between a democracy and a dictatorship. It just hurts me to realize that most of the moderators don't even know what they're turning into.
Okay.. so yeah.. some people just didn't read the rules, but seriously now! Who the heck has the time to read all those rules!? We need to spend that time fangirling!! and even then... we don't have enough time for that! >_<;;;
And honestly... BANNING the person from posting in the community after ONE offense? Where's the fan love that all you oh-so-important moderators keep on promoting?? There's really no need to be so rude about breaking the rules as well! I mean.. who stepped on your tail?? Was there a NEED to be so rude when we're all in the same fandom??
Don't think highly of yourselves.. and I'm talking about the moderators of those idol-related communities. Yeah.. you just got luck that you created the community faster than another fan who is probably a LOT nicer about members breaking the rules.
Seriously.. nowadays.. idol-related communities are to please the moderators of the community and not the fans that it was originally created for. Half the time when people make a post in those communities, they're probably scared that they might get banned from posting.
"Checking posts before you make it public in the community?" Is that.. necessary? LOL.. Who made you the king in deciding what's suitable for the fanbase?
This doesn't go to all idol-related communities though.. I'd have to say.. the Japanese idol communities run things a lot better and it's organized in my opinion (even though half of the fans there don't thank you for the info/downloads you give them).
