Instead of bitching about Facebook changes I didn't like while continuing usage of the service, I stopped giving them ad revenue. Meanwhile, I can still share and receive information with people using a service built into a client that I already use.
Also, this post wasn't to advertise Buzz, rather it was so that Google's web crawler would link my LJ posts to Buzz.
So, in essence, none of this has to do with same-sex intercourse.
I have Adblock Plus, so ad revenue isn't a factor for me...it works pretty good actually blocking just about everything...rarely does anything slip through...
...but you know me, I don't pay for a goddamn thing anyway, unless I can eat it or drink it or smoke it...
I'm running ad block myself, but when I tried to access the crippled filters options (left menu, friends) I was able to see the ads on the right.
Which isn't a problem, really. Static (preferably text, but I'll deal with an image) ads aren't the ones that bother me, plus Facebook was offering me a service I enjoyed for free. In fact, I'd deal with the ads if I could set my default page to a filter again, and be able to see application spam when I wanted, all consolidated into a filter organized by app name. But since I can't, and since they've dodged Ad Block, they'd be making money off my usage of a product I don't (currently) like.
