I just wrapped up issue #6 of 5 in Marvel's Captain America: Reborn saga. The nonsensical numbering is fitting because it is exactly what it looks like: a shoehorned, piece-of-shit ending to a story which already ended one goddamn comic prior.

Civil War was the only time I ever cared about Cap. I started caring when it started spinning up, and I stopped caring after Stark is talking to his corpse on the Helicarrier.

USAgent, however, is my kind of psychotic antivillain.

I'm not a big fan of the "gee golly" All-American heroes in general, but Civil War really made Cap an interesting guy to me. I missed most of CW, actually, but I got the gist. Same with Dark Reign, which you probably know is the fallout from those events.

Don' know much 'bout USAgent, but I've always liked the semi-alt-characters. I think Beta Ray Bill is way more interesting than the already quite metal Thor.

This is totally off the subject, and know you're into 40K (not Warhammer vanilla), but you might like this guy. He's like the Bob Ross of wargaming. Even if you don't dig his technique and commentary, he's like a human quaalude.

CW is worth downloading and spending a Saturday reading through. It's the first thoroughly awesome thing Marvel's done in a while (apart from House of M, though I seem to be the only one who liked it) and the whole Iron Man/Captain America dynamic is just amazing. Especially where Spider-Man fits in.

Of course, this comes from an inveterate DC nerd who thinks the only really compelling regular thing Marvel has done in the last decade is the fun-Sliders-ripoff Exiles, so YMMV.
