How long does it take me to get into a new fandom? Aparently only a week. I saw the movie Serenity when it came out but this week I finally started watching Firefly and now I'm really into it. awww, I think you'd be cute as Kaylee!

I like Kaylee the most and would like to cosplay her at some point, I have a friend who already made a gorgeous Zoe costume...but like half the people who see me are like "You should be River!1!1!1!"....and then it makes me feel like maybe I should do her instead of Kaylee, BLAH. Granted I am pretty serious looking most of the time, so maybe it fits XD

I don't remember that dress, just the blue one I saw at FIDM.

I can't believe you've only jsut seen it! OMG! :P I would have mentioned it earlier if I'd known :P But glad to see you've come round to the Browncoat way of life :D

I think you'd make a great Kaylee, but you'll make a great River too! I don't think anyone is as slim as her :P She was a ballet dancer! It's a pretty simple costume, so I reckon you can do it!

And I don't think they're beads. If you look at that last picture, you can see the back of the ones on the straps and they're actually studs! But you might be able to get those iron on studs from the fabric store? Something like this. You just need them in that brazzy colour. Lots of places sell them in motif form so you need to be able to find them just loose. Would definitely make things easier for you!

Hey! Good luck with the dress. I am not creative at all, so if you can do it, I will be jealous. :D
My friend is throwing a dress-up party, and I really wanted to be River Tam in her green dress, but I can't find any place that sells a dress like hers. I'm trying to find a dress somewhat close to looking like it, you know?

...YOU SHOULD HAVE DRESSED UP AS KAYLEE FROM THE EPISODE IN WHICH SHE ATTENDED THE BALL OR DANCE. SHE WORE A PRETTY NICE DRESS IN THAT EPISODE ALTHOUGH THE SNOOTY RICH CHICKS WERE PUTTING HER DOWN. TAKE CARE.
