One of us needs to run for mayor of Happy Valley. Think about it. There are plenty of old school HVers that are unhappy with the constant development and unsustainable growth. They may be outnumbered, but maybe we could convince some of the new people too.
The point, for me, is unfortunately moot. Because of my recent abroad experience, it's more and more likely that I will not be living in the United States when I "grow up". It's a big world out there.
I vote, obviously, for the second option. But it's not so bad to be part of the system sometimes.
