This administration has really shaped those of us born in the 80's. All the malarkey thats gone on over the past few years has really gotten people pissed off and the progressive movement buzzing more than before.

I have a feeling once we grow up and have the power, we have the potential to be viewed as the generation that began to turn things around.

but you see that is my problem on the whole situation, there is a significant number of citizens, people of the democratic party that are pissed off, but the politicians, as a whole are not willing to do anything about it. Maybe they fear losing reelection or campaign financing but at any rate they are no longer representing their liberal base. They seem so desperate to hold to the middle ground, we (Democrats) appear bend over and take it for the Republicans. No wonder we seem weak, we talk a lot but as soon as push comes to shove we lube up and take it, hard and at the expense of our values.

What I thought was exciting was that Obama was primarily financed by individuals which made me feel that he would be more representative of the people not business interests, however it appears he has appeased to the middle ground which is disheartening, and makes me think that a lot of what was said won't get accomplished.
