Summary: Mad Leo is mad.
Pairings: Leo/Ken
It all started with a wish.A wish filled with rage and anger built up inside.Who would ever thought that such wish could be granted.Leo has not been that mad in a long time. The last time he did was when his favorite teddy bear were washed by his mom.Because of that, he refuses to eat dinner and mourn over his bear's flowery scent instead. And that was way back during middle school. He was extremely pissed off with Ken and he feel like breaking everything in sight. He also mentally planned on 101 Ways To Kill Lee Jaehwan.
Leo is stoic.Funny how the person that looks like he had been stoned could be best friends with a ray of sunshine.Ken is such a darling that everyone loves him.He is the type of people who would water his neighbor's plants when they are away, toss the newspaper behind the gate if the delivery man missed it and save pets if it climbed too high up the tree or roof. Both of them grew up together in the same neighborhood, went to the same school, played together, eat together and even sleep together. This is due to Ken's frequent stay at Leo's residence.People would wonder how these two got together.
"Hey, this is my sandbox. Go away." Ken shooed the unfamiliar kid.But Leo kept quiet and stared at his feet. His lower lips quivered and his eyes teary.Ken noticed this and panicked.
"Oh my god don't cry..um..we could play together if you want.Anyway I'm Jaehwan but people call me Ken." Ken reached out to the kid.Leo looked up and took his hand.
"Leo." He smiled.
"Oi Leo! I just bought this new game.Let's play!" Ken barged in Leo's room without permission.Leo were used to that though.
"Have you ever heard of knocking?" Leo narrowed his already small eyes making them look like slits.
"Nope.Oh is that Chopper? I like Sunny better." Ken points to a figurine on the desk.
"Yeah and I don't need to know that."
"You son of a biscuit.Fine, let's play."
"I don't want to."
"NOW." Ken dragged Leo from his chair to the living room and turned on the television.
Leo stared at the game consoles placed neatly on the Xbox. How he missed Ken and his obnoxiously loud mouth. He missed being forced to play Dance Dance Revolution in the middle of the night just because Ken couldn't sleep. He missed everything. He walks to the bathroom to wash his face and maybe clear his mind.He ended up staring at the toothbrush holder which was supposed to hold two with only one toothbrush perched on it.
"Leo please, I need to go to the toilet now." Ken clawed madly at the toilet door.
"Five minutes, okay.Oh wait, ten minutes." Leo's muffled voice was heard.
"What do you mean ten minutes?! I'm dying here."
"Hold it in for a while, mind you."
"You know what, you're such an ass."
"I got that a lot actually." Ken rolled his eyes. After what it felt like forever, Leo emerged from the toilet.
"All yours my friend."
"Ugh.I hate you."
"I love you too."
Leo quickly washed his face and dragged his legs to the kitchen. He sits on the counter and continues staring. This time it's his lone white mug on the dish rack.He lets out a sigh and buries his face into his palms.
"Look at these mugs. Aren't they pretty?" Ken tugged on Leo's arm and fawned over a pair of black and white mugs on display.
"Get your filthy paws off me." Leo peeled Ken's fingers off his arm but the leech held on tighter.Leo rolled his eyes and peered over at the said mugs anyway. He nodded to answer the question because talking needs effort.
"Let's buy it."
"Why should we? We have plenty mugs at home."
"Shut up. And those are cups, not mugs."
"Fine.I'll take the white one."
"Sure.I prefer black anyway." A very much pleased Ken grins like the Cheshire cat.
Leo barely eats his meal.Halfway through the bowl,he lost his appetite.Again.The food ends up in the garbage bin.The bin is not full but Leo decided to discard it nonetheless.
"I'm going to class for a while.Want to follow?"
"No.I think I want to do some cleaning today."
"Suits you.See you later then."
Thus, Ken is left alone at home.He grabbed a broom, garbage bag and a rag and starts cleaning his room. Not more than half an hour later, he finished cleaning.
I might as well clean the house while I'm at it. Ken thought.Much later he swore the house was sparkling. It had never shone like this before and he was proud. Then Leo came back and slumped on the couch. He grabbed the remote controller and started switching the channels.Ken joined him and brought a cup of water for Leo which he placed it on the coffee table.
"Ken."
"What?"
"Do you know my wooden guitar pick?"
"Yeah. Why?" Of course Ken knew. That pick is like, Leo's life.He was pretty sure that the pick were given by his dear grandpa.
"So have you seen it? I think I placed it here." Leo said while pointing at the coffee table.Suddenly it hit Ken that he might have accidentally threw it away while cleaning.
"Oh my god I'm so sorry I think I accidentally thrown it away just now."
"You did not."
"I'm so sorry I was so careless and oh my I'm sorry."
"You know how much that guitar pick means to me, right?"
"I know that's why I'm sorry."
Leo stormed off to his room and slammed the door.He threw himself on the bed and let out an exasperated sigh.He was really at his wits end.Loud knocks were heard but ignored by Leo.The knocks continued.
"GO AWAY."
"Leo please, forgive me.That was not on purpose." Ken pleaded.
"Just go away."
"I'm sorry I didn't see it just now.It's my fault.Sorry."
"I hope you disappear." The knocks stopped abruptly.Leo looked at the door and saw a white piece of paper were slipped beneath the door. But he left it like that.A small picture frame of his grandpa and him sat on the table beside the bed.He took it and hugged it to sleep.
It was past noon when Leo woke up.He shot up from his bed and went to the bathroom to wash up.He mentally cursed Ken for not waking him up.But then something was off.The house was deadly silent which would never happen unless Ken loses his voice.Leo shrugged and continued washing up.As he dried himself with a towel he walked to the kitchen to have "breakfast" although it's already late.Everyday Ken would make breakfast but today the stove were not even touched.Leo wondered why.Maybe he went out early. After drinking a glass of milk(that was the only thing available in the fridge) he walked towards the living room.He can't help but to notice that the door to Ken's room was ajar.A better look inside, it's empty. There are only boxes and cobweb. As if it hadn't been opened for years. Now Leo were left dumbfounded.
Picture frames that were supposed to hold their pictures were replaced with Leo's family pictures.A long string that used to hold polaroids of their selcas are now left with Leo's alone.Every traces of Ken were gone including his mobile phone number which Leo had set on speed dial.He phoned Lee's residence but they don't know who Ken is.It's like he never existed. Then it dawned on him.He wished for the person to disappear. The wish actually came true.He felt his knees go weak and crashed to the ground almost immediately.Tears trickled down his face.Suddenly his life felt meaningless. What is the point of living when you lost a part of yourself?
