Last weekend, early Sunday morning, I woke up to hear my wife snoring loudly enough to be annoying.  I jiggled her which is usually enough to make her stop.  Not this time.  I tried to go back asleep; failed; and eventually tried again to quiet her.  No luck. Oh. Scary. That doesn't sound like sleep apnea at all. Please know you two are in my thoughts...and I'm sure you'll be persistent as hell trying to figure this thing out, so I won't tell you to do that.

One of the problems is that it doesn't fit any of the known boxes. If its a seizure then it could be caused by apnea, but we don't know that there was a seizure only that she had, in the neurologist's definition, "a slow awakening". It seemed likely after listening to her sleep the other night that there might be apnea, after last night I'm not so sure.

OMG how terrifying. I am glad she's back on her feet and in the process of being diagnosed. My thoughts are with you, I wish I was there to hug you both!!!
