More ER

Monday Nicole developed a pain in her right thigh; by bedtime she had modest fever; and by 2AM her right foot was swollen.  We got up and searched the internet and decided it sounded a lot like cellulitis.  She called the GH consulting nurse who said we should get ourselves (well Nicole) to a hospital post-haste, as it could also be a bloodclot

Thx, she's eating lots of yoghurt to counteract the antibiotics, which actually seem to be working.

She seems to be improving a bit faster than her DR predicted. I should have her out and shoveling the snow soon...

She seems to be the swelling and redness is done quite a bit this morning, as is the pain.

My very, very best wishes to Nicole. When I was pregnant with Gavin I had blood clots, they were unbelievably painful. :-(

My father has had them and agrees about the pain. I'm glad Nicole doesn't, except I was looking forward to teasing her about having to take rat poison which seems to be commonly prescribed as a treatment
