Madrigal event

Feb 25, 2013 11:45

Had a good time at the Madrigal event. Didn't get to do nearly enough fighting, and I think I was fighting off a cold or something because I randomly fell over early both nights ('early' being 2AM and 1AM respectively), which was annoying to me. Weather was pretty awful, basically various forms of slush fell from the sky from Saturday afternoon ( Read more... )

I just loved time with Gabrielle this weekend. It was such a shift from the norm and I'm sure I'll pay for the familiarity in the long run, but it will have been so worth it. Hmmmm, unless she gets named queen in which case I'll have a royal "friend". That could be good too.

You looked so sad asking for help with packets. That was indeed a nasty job. Picking up the cold, wet, frozen, muddy, gunky, icky packets (yeah, all of those states existed at various points) while trudging around in the snow without boots and carrying around a bag that was getting heavier and heavier absolutely sucked. I'm glad we could save staff from that miserable task. And Melissa and I got to have some quality hang-out time, so there was a bonus there.

I am so sorry to drag you into the packet-collecting party, but when RJC is begging me to get PCs to do it, you know it's pretty bad. At least you got some hang out time with Melissa...

It was hilarious watching the tragic expressions on people's faces as they ran through the various candidates and realized they didn't like any of them.

(It probably only mirrored the various expressions staff made as *we* ran through the various candidates who were already defined and IG...)

Oddly, packet recovery isn't nearly so bad when you have a friend to chat with. It was also awesome to get to show Sam the track of the Shetra fight outside ("Here you can see where we hedgehogged like pros, here is the path down the hill and through the woods, here is where the shetra died and his legs fell off..."). It was worth it to save you guys from having to do it later.

I am glad having company made it less-bad, and THANK YOU so much for jumping on that grenade... (The play-by-play tour sounds kinda hilarious, too.)

I had so much fun interacting with so many of your characters. I loved having the family business excuse to talk to Inquisitor Lirannon and actually found myself starting to like her, despite having to quell inner panic whenever she said something serious about taking the Throne.

And thank you so much for that family reunion encounter. It was beyond incredible :)

Congratulations on an incredible and epic event!

I was so glad that this randomly sorta gave me the opportunity to talk to people that I *never* talk to as that character. Am glad you had fun with that, despite Gabrielle's... ahem... issues.

And SO GLAD you enjoyed that. Was hoping you would, but always nervous about stuff like that.

Getting to play the High Inquisitor when she wasn't the high Inquisitor.

This broke my brain a little. I mean Sonia likes her fairly well when she has her business pants on but to have them off was a little jarring as well as amusing.

So sad I didn't make more time for Mother Marie! She really is one of my favorites. <3

This broke my brain a little.

If it makes you feel any better, it broke my brain a little, too. It was almost as if she *almost* had a tiny sense of humor!

Poor Mother Marie is one of my favorites, too. You missed the part where I forgot my own password and then offered to throw damage spells at myself until I didn't have a chimeric shield anymore so they could test me.

Her tiny sense of humor was hilarious. Equally impressive was her restraint when the divine blood of Aradach was referred to as a hot potato.

I think I was trying to set someone on fire with my mind at that point...

I was one of those happy shrieks of PCs sledding down the hill! So much fun.
The interaction I had with you this weekend wasn't what I expected but it was awesome!

Yay! Glad you had fun with it! (The interaction, though I'm glad you had fun sledding, too.)
