Had a fun time at MM, despite the constant heat and humidity. You know it's pretty bad when the crackers they are putting out for snacks keep turning into mush before people can eat them

Yeah, you were pretty much the only one who was able to put any kind of spin on the whole transforms thing that didn't make it sound utterly nuts. Ruakhi is still of the opinion that your world is the CRAZIEST world she's heard about so far, though...

Side note: Totally was amused by accidentally making Ruakhi feel bad by asking what humans in her world believed about the afterlife.

Yeah, I'm with you on that one. I'm pleased that our spider senses were so on the ball... but I'm sad we didn't get to do whatever that encounter was...

Gosh I wish I'd done that. I think that's my greatest regret for the weekend, that I didn't go with it. I thought of it Sat night, then dismissed it because I didn't think it was what we were supposed to be doing, and then forgot to ask on Sunday if I could do that when talking to the staff.

He would have reacted exactly how he always does. He'd have come back, given you a big hug, thanked you for trying and apologized for dying when you needed him. You'd have felt like crap and I'd have enjoyed the whole thing immensely. :-)

Meeting Erin?

So Friday night, I met a character named Erin (who was played by Mary) whose job it is to follow up on things that Lothruin (played by Brent) has promised people but then forgotten about and generally clean up after him. The concept of a character named Erin having that role for a character played by Brent amused me. (Pretty sure it was intentional by staff.)

I asked the secretary how she spelled her name and she said e-r-y-n, but I think we all know how it's *really* spelled! :P

What would you say about transforms to make NERO chars seem nuts?

When taken at face value, the statement, "I am a barbarian, except when I'm a bear," sounds... um... not sane. So does, "Yeah, we all cast spirit-affecting magics on ourselves to turn ourselves into some bizarre alternate form, doesn't everyone?"

And the fact that just about *every* NERO PC who has made it to MM has/had a transform doesn't help.

At least you found a semi-sane explanation? Wanting to assure you have a place after you die isn't a bad way to put it. I say semi-sane because sane people still don't aspire to spend their afterlife as death elementals and dragons and books. =P

As always, have a fantastic time hanging out with Thousand Roads. I find it amusing that I think we're each other's calm partner. :)

And I would have liked to have met Shadow Road, he sounded interesting (you know, when not stabbing people).
