Whew. 2014 sort of sucked on a rather high level. Included:
- divorce (that was the big one)
- parents (with whom I am quite close) moved halfway across the country
- non-minor car accident (not my car, but I took the physical brunt of it - financial hit someone else that didn't need it)
- put on a ton of weight
- crappy job
- grandfather died
- leaving the house D & and I bought together
The good stuff:
- lost the weight I put on (due to a ton of effort - turns out exercise and diet can help you lose weight - who knew?)
- new job, with more money and less stress
- new awesome room-mate
- discovering how truly awesome my friends are
So... yeah. Hopefully onward and upwards to better things in the new year. Also, more mental stability. I would like to get back to the point where non-trivial-but-not-serious things stop throwing me into a tailspin of emotional warg. It's annoying and unproductive. And tiring.
In more recent news, have gotten back into sewing now that I have more time, and it's fun. Rediscovered cross-stitch, which I am referring to as thread-based paint-by-numbers, but it lets me make pretty pictures, which is awesome. Looking forward to 5G this year, and other larping things.
