Your dominant hues are green and blue. You're smart and you know it, and want to use your power to help people and relate to others. Even though you tend to battle with yourself, you solve other people's conflicts well.

Your saturation level is very high - you are all about getting things done. The world may think you work too ( Read more... )

Dude, I am also glaringly white. I wore a skirt today, and had to give myself a pep talk to try and convince myself that strangers wouldn't laugh and point my legs out to their friends! I'm so so so white. But yeah...I tell myself those same things too. Pasty skin is healthy skin, I suppose. :)

But my main question is, how did you like The Last Girls? I'm about to start reading it and would be down with hearing a vague (non-spoiler!) assessment of it. :)

I used to run a mile or so every day, and I loved it so much I would run in the rain; it was just wonderful. I definitely need to get back into it. Hopefully as the weather gets nicer I'll be inspired to start up again.

I enjoyed it. Its very Hollins in a way, yet very not. It made me think of what we, as recent Hollins alums, will be like in twenty or thirty years, as those are the relative ages of the women in the novel. Its good though. It took me a while to get into her writing style, especially since I've never read any of Smith's books, but it is worth the read, especially as an insider. You'll understand the bonds of the characters and then...their lives later. Interesting. Worth the $14 or so bucks. Let me know what you think when you're done.

I did find it a little stereotypical, in a way. Or perhaps it was Smith's reflection on a certain generation of Hollins women. I'm not sure. In some parts it was a little cliche, in others not so much. Who knows? Would love to get someone else's opinion....
