The thing I like about Facebook is the fact that so many people use it... this means that if bad stuff happens, SO MANY PEOPLE will be affected that the net negative result to any one person is bound to be smaller (my logic might be a bit faulty there). Also, I've been able to reconnect with people who I knew and liked years ago, and have since moved far away and changed their email addresses. Doesn't mean I can maintain close friendships with them, but sometimes even just having the means to contact them if the need arises is a good thing.
