Sia - Breathe MeFor years I have analogised our life journey as a sort of perpetual road trip. Each of us on our own road and in our own vehicle. We share the role of driver and passenger with others as they traverse their own stretch of highway. I know I've been M.I.A. Your lovely lady has been filling me in on the haps though and I'm sorry for what you guys have gone through recently and are still going through. I wish we had the money to go to Georgia.

Yeah, the summer has been filled with the yuck, to an excessive degree. Fortunately, the good has been as good as the bad has been bad, so, I guess that makes up for it. What is tough is summoning the strength to make sure your kid is still having an 'endless summer' despite your own weariness and grief. It hit us today, though. Me and Mel just got back from an amzing trip to New York two days ago and it was like walking from a dream straight into a hellstorm. Between he Hurricane and the resultant gas scares around here to work piling up to school issues and baseball practice and a filthy house and yard we never seem to have time to deal with, it has just added up and me and Mel just LOST it this morning and by the end of it we were crying and Aedin was freaked out and it was just bad and we eneded up in a family huddle reminding each other that it was all okay and that we always have each other and what not. So, everything turned out fine, just the top boiling over ( ... )
