It's young adult fantasy... urban fantasy, I guess, you could probably say.

"Urban fantasy" makes me think of this book called Un-Lun-Dun that I tried to read. It was too urban and too fantastical. lol

Thank you! I believe I'll check my public library and see if they have anything similiar (yay free), but if not, I'll certainly think about getting this!
