Exciting Times!

So... it's been two weeks since I moved all the way from Texas to Philadelphia, PA...

Excellent news! An agent definitely makes things so much easier, so if you can get a good one, hold on tight! You may want to check out Predators & Editors too, jist to make sure the agent doesn't have any clients with beefs, or to see if there's good things too. Just to be sure - cause a bad agent is worse than no agent.

BTW, I didn't realize you were in Philly, I'm waaaaay behind on LJ. :) I'm hosting a small gathering for a few of my f-list in the NY metro area (I live in northern NJ), and there are a couple coming up from PA way too. It's October 10, if you're free and would like to join us. Let me know, you're more than welcome to join us in our festivities!

Thanks! I have indeed checked out P&E and have read threads about them on Absolute Write, and they are both reputable with recognizable sales.... So, we'll see how things turn out.

As for the gathering-- that's very sweet of you, and I would love to come, but I'm not sure if I can. I'm in a very intensive apprenticeship that I just started, and I'm pretty sure I'd have to take off work (or at least a half-day) to be able to make it. Unfortunately, I have very little personal days for the year, and I'm a little nervous to use one so early on in the year (as I'm trying to save them to head home for a portion of the Holidays). If I happen to coincidentally get that day off, I'll let you know. Otherwise, let me know if it ever happens again, and I might be able to make it the second time around.
