I so agree with how a city becomes your own...it's such a cool feeling! I still miss my city in England all the time. But it also does make you really appreciate the things you take for granted at home.

the only bad part about it is that you eventually realize that people can say they understand what you mean but they dont. that only you understand what you are talking about because you lived it and every word you say has a story behind it that would take hours to tell. then you realize that if they listen to you and go on their own adventure it will be completely different in substance but very alike in spirit and that they will finally understand what you meant when you told them it would change them forever. gaaa. we need a pro-studying abroad alliance :P
