i found out what's been bothering me. it's never quiet. even at night, the dogs are barking, and with spring fest, there are movies playing all night. girls are running up and down the hall yelling and even when i am alone, there is always noise. that's why i've taken to showering for longer than ususal. it's not quiet, but it's a controllable
