I really love how you've portrayed Kris & Katy's relationship! Especially the bit about him needed to 'step up'. :D

I agree completely about the importance of their viewed relationship. I feel Kris/Katy is a very tricky thing to handle b/c most fans seem to *genuinely* like the two of them - and even like them together... it's just we also like him with Adam. *grin*

So, yeah, it's hard to make the transition of him leaving her for Adam without making the reader uncomfortable, but I think you did a great job.

I know this is really late but I was reading this chapter and I just about FLIPPED OUT! OMG SYTYCD! LACEY SCHWIMMER! TRAVIS as a dancer AND a bodyguard haha! I squealed so loud when my brain finally connected that Nigel's place is completely staffed by SYTYCD dancers. SO GOOD :D I'm really loving this story but I honestly love SYTYCD more than Idol so that moment just made my freaking day. Awesome story!
