RK Live Action Review

Hey all,
Went and saw Rurouni Kenshin, the live action movie opening weekend.  Now, all of you outside of Japan got Avengers way before we did, but at least I got this.  Thought I'd leave my thoughts for those who want to know.  Of course if you want to refrain and judge for yourself, don't click the cut.

Thanks for the review! I'm very excited about it but I did have misgivings about the storyline and some of the casting. It's nice to know what to expect. I suppose I'll love it too because I'm a big RK fan, but it sounds like it will have the Dark Knight Rises syndrome for me. As much as I love watching DKR and was satisfied with it, I definitely noticed the unnecessary characters and strange pacing of the story. It's nice to know that the RK movie was done well enough that it can still carry itself despite some issues.

Glad to be of help. I would actually say the pacing was slightly better than DKR, but yes, unnecessary characters were unnecessary. In any case, you should definitely see RK anyway. It's definitely worth it.

Am I mentioned in fanfics by Tae? I don't recall that...
