actually this poem wasnt written by tagore. this poem was coined by some smart alecks in tw... then somehow ended up tagore was credited as the author.

i think the first part is written by tagore, then was expanded by zhang xiao xian from the 5th paragraph onwards... your smart aleck. hahahhaha.

btw, i find it quite touching also. had it copied down some where...

This version is quite "expanded"... The version I came across is quite different from this. I did some research on this poem 3, 4 yrs back. coz I borrowed a book by Tagore to look up this poem but he never have written this poem. So not even the first part leh. this is a beautiful misunderstanding bah.
