I just booked my honeymoon. Wow.

7 nights in Fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada.

August 14-21.... I can't wait!!!!!!!

Today is my first day of my last undergraduate semester! Woohoooooo!!!!

Hopefully it will be an easy, fairly low-key semester. We shall see. If I can handle nursing 410, I can handle anything (in theory...).

I just saw an RN job posting for Bronson staffing services in ER for $38/hr, plus $5/hr extra if you work nights 7p-7am, and $2/hr extra for weekend shifts. If I only worked 2 days a week, I'd make $40,000+ a year, assuming no nights and no weekends even. I wonder what holiday pay is-- time & 1/2? Plus what Tim makes. So yesterday, Michigan's Chief Nurse Executive spoke at Western to about 50 of us nursing students plus some faculty. She talked about all sorts of issues in nursing, such as the nursing shortage, too-long hours, heavy patient loads, etc. etc. Afterwards, I talked to her about the issue of patients using ERs inappropriately.
