Eric just now cussed out loud (VERY LOUD) because our DVR just cut it off, too. Is it the same channel as The Office? The Office does that to me, too.

I looked on the NBC.com website last time it happened, and The Office was scheduled to start, according to NBC.com, at something like 7:42 (???) and my DVR guide had it starting at 7:40. So it taped the DVR-guide schedule, plus 1 minute over, which of course was 1 minute LESS due to NBC.com's wacky schedule.

My DVR definitely taped 2 hours and 2 minutes of AI tonight, but to no avail.

It wasn't TiVo's fault it was Fox's fault. The show ran :10 minutes long! Typical competitive channel scheduling, comething you can easily exploit on live shows - I remember it happening way back when I worked in tv news.

Anyway, if you want to view the segment that ran over just so you can enjoy Jordin's repeat of her crying at the end of that awful This is My Now song, the clip is posted all over the place. Like here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M6hIS3rCKR8

Now that that's over, I can move on to So You Think You Can Dance. I presume you're gonna watch?

Yes, I guess you're right it is Fox's fault. It is just easy to blame Tivo.

I already have TiVo set up to record SYTYCD. The early shows are kind of lame because bad dancing isn't as funny as bad singing, but I'll really get into it once they narrow it down to the really good people.

I see it paid off to skip Tivoing AI all together in favor of LOST! I just turned on the last 5 minutes - which of course turned into the last 10+ minutes! - of AI to see who won. I have thwarted TiVo for once!

I'm so mad at myself for not just fastforwarding past the BS so I could just see who won. If I'd done that I would have caught it in time to watch it live. Doh!

You're the second person I've seen who's TIVO didn't catch the winner. I'm wondering if our DVR did the same. Of course Stupid MSN had the winner plastered on their homepage, so I got my info that way this morning. Eh...

You probably missed it too. The show ran 10 minutes long!!! Most DVR's are just hardwired to record for the scheduled time. There would be no way for the DVR to know that the show ran late unless the network had let them know ahead of time. I know I can't be the only one who got the shaft.
