Where in California? You know, California isn't TOO bad. But i understand the complications.

Not bad, just the idea of picking up and starting over is freaking me out. Let's not even discuss the cost of real estate, though, shall we. It would be in Newport Beach, and it's not known for it's low cost housing.

Eeek! Well good luck to you! It seems like each scenario is very exciting and quite possibly a win-win no matter what. But the decision process is scary.
And I also want to know where in California?

I'd like to think of it as win-win, but there is also the possibility that they wouldn't offer him a job at all. I still think that is the worst outcome, but completely reasonable which is why I didn't even want to bring this up.

It would be in Newport Beach. Unfortunately not really close to anyone except maybe Jamie(the tiger) and even then it is still kind of far away.

Hee, the NoCal and SoCal contingents are already "fighting" over you.

Good thoughts for both you and Jack, especially that the good stuff will cause minimal complications.

Thanks. I'm still trying to figure out what I'm actually wishing for. I think "that the good stuff will cause minimal complications" is the best way of putting it :)

What? Huh? I'm going to pretend I didn't hear this. Eeeeee!

I wish you the best for you. (But don't leave me!)

Don't worry, the possibility of us moving to CA seems so remote right now that it isn't even really worth talking about. They would really have to offer up quite a bit to make it worth our while (huge salary plus bonuses/commissions, moving expenses, help selling our house, etc.). I'm kind of back to thinking that it couldn't possibly happen. Trust me, I am not going to move without a LOT of thought.
