Well, I really *can't*--she's perfectly healthy in later stories. But beyond that, I *wouldn't* give her permanent damage. Honest.

I love what a rock Peter is through this. He's a great guy to have around in a crisis.

I can't imagine Ruby is going to be a good patient. Good thing it wasn't as bad as it could have been. (Is it odd to say that like she's a real person? They all feel so real though.)

I tend to think of them as three-dimensional people, too. I've just accepted that I'm probably slightly insane, and rolled with the notion.
