That was perfect, down to the smiley boxers.

I'm going to miss your stories, but taking a break is good.

Jackie would no doubt have been categorized as a high risk pregnancy, so Ruby can take heart in the fact that she's prepared to deal with just about anything.

*nods* Plus, well-the recommendation came from Jackie Tyler. And we all know that Ruby is definitely star-struck by the Tylers. Bless ;)

(Of course, when he learned what they entail, Pete probably either fainted dead away.)

BWAH! HAHAHAHAHAHA!

It's dangerous enough in N-Space. In Pete's World, I imagine that for some women it's tantamount to a death sentence.

Indeed. And it’s enough like Russian roulette that multiples are viewed with great trepidation.

Poor Elias. He's spent all day careening between joy and terror, no doubt.

*pets* He worries because he cares so very, very much.

No stifling here--I flat-out giggled. :)

It was nice to write Peter this way; I think it was a nice hint of the sense of humor that he’s got.

Elias, prepare to run out at strange hours for baby spinach. I'm just sayin. ;)

Ruby will *never* develop a craving for green veggies. Sorry ;)

Dawwwwwwwwww. Sweet and perfect. Peter's gonna melt a little when he finds out Robert's middle name. Are Peter and Rose the Pete's world equivalent of godparents to the twins? I feel like that's been addressed elsewhere, but I can't recall properly.

Lovely story. Enjoy your break.

Absolutely.

Are Peter and Rose the Pete's world equivalent of godparents to the twins?

I think you could say that, yes. Philip and Rab (;)) grow up calling them Aunt and Uncle, to be sure.

Lovely story. Enjoy your break.

Thank you!

Oh, this is a lovely surprise, considering you don't care so much for the babyfic. Just delightful. Enjoy your well earned break!!

*g* As with when I wrote Rose and Peter's baby!fic, I am very, very torn about having written this story. I realllllly don't like the genre; but I'm really quite happy with how the story came out!

<>Enjoy your well earned break!!

Thank you!

Awww, that was adorable. Musses the fic's hair. They named their son after Peter! (I don't remember the favor being done when wee Liam was born but I forget).
So lovely. And you know being baby fic, you know how I am. :-)

They did not. But that's alright--Elias is completely OK with that.

And you know being baby fic, you know how I am. :-)

*nods* I'm normally right there with you, where the genre is concerned.

In terms of the genre, I don't mind so much if it stops at baby's arrival. Usually what happens is that the children tend to be sitcom precocious brats [or completely unrealistic] and that the main characters (aka the ones I care about) tend to become sidelined. When you write about Lucy, you always keep the focus on Peter and Rose, so I don't mind the occasional story. And I don't mind pregnancy ending with babies then happily ever after. LOL.

Yes! This! Exactly! I read fic because I care about the characters--the *main* characters, not their progeny.

But then, that could be because I'm just not a kid person. ;)

phew, now that things have slowed down again (been proctoring spanish exams all week)I can finally comment on this fic :)

yay for excellent doctors! Good patient relations definitely makes things waay better.

“Right. I think you might be looking for someone else, there. May I suggest you ring extension 4500 and ask for them?”

“You’re far nicer than your reputation paints you.”

Oh Peter, you're a fox in more than one way. We already knew that, but it never hurts to be reminded ;)

it put suspects off their guard, leading to them giving away information they’d been trying to hide on more than one occasion.

heh. I bet the baby bump puts them off too. No sense in upseting a tough ass lady who is also pregnant.

She learned that Peter was almost painfully precise in his prose, that Elias still had the terrible habit of splitting infinitives in his-and that not everyone was as thorough as the two of them were, but that there were several who were close.hmm, an interesting insight into her work place and her two favorite guys ( ... )

There’s no question about that. Ruby is lucky to have excellent, well-connected friends. ;)

I love catching glimpses of Peter like this-in the wild, as it were, where he’s just being Peter.

I had fun imagining the kind of things Ruby might see-and *how* she’d see them, given her years of experience at this point.

I'd kind of like to see Peter's reaction to his namesake.

He will be at a complete loss for words. Poor guy.

thanks for posting!

*hugs* You’re welcome!

see, that's the funny thing. I don't speak word one of spanish, I took 7 years of french, but the national exams are online, so I was there mostly to make sure the computers didn't crap out, and of course that the kids weren't cheating or destroying our headphones ;)

I concur.

He will be at a complete loss for words. Poor guy.

I'm imagining some sputtering while Rose is elbowing him to say something nice like, you know, a thank you. heheh

bah, I totally forgot! we'll miss you, but enjoy your writing break! and also, thank you to xebgoc for the lovely burns :)

I don't speak word one of spanish,

LOL. I took a couple of years of High School Spanish, and generally grew up around the language (well, the Cuban version of it). It's alarming, what stuck and what didn't.

I've been enjoying it very, very much. Thank you :)
