New laptop

A couple of months ago, I dropped my laptop on its side and chipped away a teeny tiny bit of the casing - alas though it was the tiny bit that holds the screw that keeps the top and bottom parts of the casing together. Since then, I haven't been able to close the laptop, and had been living in fear that one of the cats would rub against it a bit

Yay! Its so shiny. I hate using the touchscreen actually because of the fingerprints I leave behind. I guess I'll get used to it.

Congrats on the new laptop! Very exciting, although, I'm sorry it came about because the other one was damaged. I sympathize.

It's very love/hate, getting a new laptop. It's all empty and clean, but then there's the headache of it not having all your histories. I really need a new one and am dragging my feet for just that reason. But I know it'll be beautiful during the honeymoon period! Congrats on your new one. I've heard very mixed reviews on acers, so I hope you tried a new brand.

One of these days, I've gotta do the Smallville Big Bang. I'm curious as to how I'd do, writing without an audience. Maybe the next one. :)

I opted for a Dell - its definitely a step up, though still economical.

The Big Bang is definitely a challenge. I'm always worried about being able to meet the minimum word threshold, so I add in stuff that winds up blowing up the story far beyond my expectations. Still, its a lot of fun. I wish we had had more Chlark this year - everyone is so busy though.
