Apropos of nothing

Driving today down a highway, saw a sign outside a hamlet asking, "What does Franktown mean to you?" Bad poetry ensued:

Slow down to sixty.
Lilac scents the air.
Passing lane ahead.

Yup, that's pretty much it.

Franktown is reallysmall you see, so its chief claim to fame is that you have to slow down to 60 kph for about 30 seconds, during which the smell of the "Lilac capital of Ontario" can hit like a ton of bricks. Then, yay, back up to speed!

But Is It Art? Where is he, by the way? chatchien May 26 2015, 11:55:56 UTC
Haiku Hanging by the Side of the Road,
Haiku Hanging On the Skin of a board,
Forget the Lilacs Smell the Dead Skunk.
THE END IS NEAR!!!!!!!

Just another little Road Side Ditty for all to enjoy.

Did you see the roadside sign that another person was asking about? That one is lost in its own symbolism.

Your poetry is so much better than mine!

To appreciate my haiku, it might help to know that Franktown is about 5 blocks long - you drive through it in about the time it takes to read my post.
