IKEA in Canton

Ok, so I'm a little geeked that the new IKEA is opening in Canton on Wednesday. I just read a blurb about the grand opening on their website though. They are allowing people to start lining up in front of the door (with camping gear, etc.) starting tomorrow. WTF?

I can't wait! After being in Columbus for so long with no IKEA closer than 3.5 hours, I moved to Toledo this weekend so it'll only be about an hour! Maybe sometime I can get hiddentask to come visit and we can meet you there!

Oh absolutely. I live in Ann Arbor now so its only like, 20 minutes from me and we can get tasty food too.

However, I am not going to camp there for 2 days and get trampled by the crowds waiting to get in.

I hear that's what it's like whenever a new Ikea store opens. Just what is so magical about the shit that the sell that you need to camp out for 2 days to get it, I have no idea.

No shit. I like IKEA stuff, but I've been waiting for YEARS to see one appear closer than 5 hours away, so I can certainly wait another week or 2 for it to settle down.

Not to be a total loser, but what the heck is IKEA? From the content, it's a store, but what stuff do they sell? And why the heck is it so popular????
