- So I've been in a terrible rut with LJ because recently my scripting hasn't been working. Therefore I've been unable to post anything and my homepage has been scrambled, which has been driving me absolutely bonkers for the past week and a half. But I've been updating my computer over the past few days and today Windows did one of its automatic

and then, i was about to say in my comment to you that i totally understand where you're coming from with the cake fic and feeling like the moment has passed and there's no audience for it. only instead of writing in a "retirement" fandom, i'm writing in a fandom that doesn't entirely exist to begin with (the basketball stuff). LOL. so i hear you, believe me.
and then you said you were going to read my bball stories, and if i could have kissed you through my screen, i would have. ♥ i know how hard it is to read fic in a fandom you know nothing about, so i DO take it as a HUGE compliment that you would consider reading mine just because i wrote it. and if you'd like an introductory primer in the awesome that is that pairing (i mean the canon stuff... there's lots of video and pictorial evidence), just say the word and i will be MORE than happy to put one together for you. :D

Yeah, it is a dying, no, dead fandom but I've never enjoyed writing a pair as much as I write those two and that's saying a lot for me because I wrote freakin' Justin Timberlake/Brian Littrell fics for ages when I was younger. It's hard to let two muses that you gel with so well go but maybe it's about time. Think I've got one more up my sleeve, maybe more.

i sort of put off writing in the bball fandom for a long time because i knew the audience would be tiny. (and also because i worry about real-life ramifications, but that's a whole other can of worms.) and then i finally decided i didn't care - i was going to write it because i wanted to write it, and if 3 people read it, oh well. so i think you should write as much cake as you're inspired to write!
justin and brian, huh? interrrresting. i was never much for the crossovers between groups in popslash. i tended to stick with my *nsync boys. (in terms of reading, that is... i wrote more het than slash in that fandom, because that was when i was just barely getting into slash.) but i could see justin/brian being interesting.
